| People confirms that Zac Efron will be joining the stage with the Jonas Brothers next month at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards! Exciting!! On February 24, Zac and Danielle Panabaker were seen exiting out of Hugo's Eatery and racing back to their cars. Pictures will be up soon. Zac Efron is tipping his hardhat for the Hollywood branch of Habitat for Humanity. Habitat’s mission of providing safe and decent housing for all. The hat will be auctioned and all proceeds will go to benefit families served by Habitat for Humanity. Zac's new movie, "17 Again," has released the international trailer. It is below if you want to watch it. The movie premieres on April 9 in Australia and on the 17 in the United States. |

| Ever wonder what 17 Again hunk Zac Efron was like in high school? The 21-year-old actor recently dished to Family Circle magazine about getting in trouble, being the class clown and brawling with his younger brother, Dylan. Check it: On his high-school days: “I was average. I had a lot of friends, but I was not in that ultracool circle. I was a bit of a class clown .. I guess to get through the tedium of the quadratic formula! I thought everyone was fair game.” On what he loves about his parents, Starla and David: “I’ve always appreciated my mom’s ability to listen to me. Even today I can vent my frustration or share my happiness because she made it clear long ago that she wanted to hear what I had to say. I’m thankful to have had that, because between self-discovery and the social hierarchy, high school can be the most confusing time of your life.” On arguing with his parents: “Oh man, it seemed like every weekend I was in trouble for something! Our disagreements were over small things like curfew. If I got home late, I would get chewed out…I fought a lot with my little brother [Dylan]. We were brawlers and I would always get grounded. If I had big plans with friends for the weekend, camping or boating or surfing at the beach...I wasn’t allowed to go.” |

| The Day has come! You can now buy High School Musical 3 on DVD!! What are the Goodies in the DVD? It features some music videos of the following songs, “We’re all in this Together” and “I Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You.” Another feature is a Sing Along with the Movie, which is basically subtitled lyrics resembling karaoke. (The DVD is not karaoke, however, there is a separately sold CD soundtrack with CD+G made for karaoke.) The next goodie is the featurette called, Bringing it All Together: The Making of High School Musical. It consists of many behind-the-scenes moments that are on display, and interviews with the cast and director Ortega. A few things the young cast say are cute, but they’ll probably cringe over it in eight years, then after another eight years they’ll get a kick out of their comments. Two guys note that they wish they could have broken out in song and dance at random times in life. And one girl (who sounds like a bumble bee hitting high notes) thinks her voice is good; she was impressed with herself. Ah, youth. Of course there is great energy on the set and Oretega fully engages himself with the cast and the filmmaking, so it’s hard not to feel the good time had by all. Fans will get a kick out of this, although I would have liked more tough talk about scouting filming locations, dealing with conflicts, and overcoming obstacles. Finally, there is the featurette "Learning the Moves". This is broken down into four subsections of All 3 at the Same Time, Close Up of the Rehearsal, Wide Angle of Rehearsal, and Final Movie. Danny Oretega, associate choreographers Charles Klapow and Bonnie Story, and actors Ashley Tisdale and Lucas Gabreel help to train you on some moves. Basically, the scenes repeat a particular part of the song “Bop to the Top.” People who wanna kick their heels in the air will most enjoy this. I didn’t try it only because I’m lazy. | Zac Efron is the first name attached to the title character of the live action film Jonny Quest, which Warner Bros. wants to bring to the big screen. The 21-year-old actor is the top contender for the role, reports IESB, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is linked to bodyguard role, Race Bannon. Dwayne dished to IESB recently about the lead role of Jonny, saying, “Cause you want to be true to it and you want to honor that and I loved Jonny Quest when I was a kid. If you go a little older, it gives you more, it allows you to be…it just gives you a bit more, you know. But then you want to honor it too, so…” The animated 1960s series told of a boy, 11-year-old Jonny, who accompanies his father, Dr. Benton Quest, on extraordinary adventures. Fearing Jonny could end up in the wrong hands, a special agent/bodyguard/pilot from Intelligence One Government, Race Bannon, is hired to guard and train him. |
